Opening of the new production hall of voestalpine Rotec in Poland

09.09.2015 //

The new 6,000-square-meter hall in Komorniki, Środa Śląska (near Wrocław), was built on a 3.65-hectare property. The addition is on the opposite side of the 5,000-square-meter factory that has stood for 15 years. The expansion of the plant and production capacity is expected to result in generation of extra revenue at this site in Poland. In the future, additional steel and aluminum tubes will be cut, punched, pressed, and formed here. The plant of voestalpine Rotec Sp. z o. o. has around 190 employees. The company specializes in the production of precision-cut lengths and tube components for various applications in the automotive industry.

Official opening on August 29, 2015

The hall was officially opened with the symbolic red-ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Managing Director of voestalpine Rotec Sp. z o. o. Philip Rushall, jointly with the mayor of Środa Śląska and the Chairman of the Legnicka Special Economic Zone. This event was celebrated with around 500 visitors: the employees and their families, suppliers, and representatives from the community as well as from the voestalpine Group.
