Umicore confirms building electric battery plant in Poland

A global leader in the field of technology and recycling of materials Umicore will once again invest in Poland. 

• The factory will be based in Nysa (the Opole voivodship)
• Umicore will hire 400 people, 30% of  will be engineers
• The production is due to start in 2020

The Belgian investor will be manufacturing cathode materials for electric vehicles in Nysa (southern Poland). It is due to start deliveries in late 2020. The investment will create up to 400 jobs in the first phase. The CAPEX totals EUR 320m.
