New Kongsberg Automotive factory

The Norwegian producer of components and parts for the automotive industry, Kongsberg Automotive, has opened a plant in Brześć Kujawski (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) today. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency provided the investor with location consultancy.

The plant in Brześć Kujawski will be the third Kongsberg Automotive plant in Poland. The first one was launched in 2000 in Pruszków, and another, 16 years later – in Koluszki. In total, the company employs over 2 000 people in Poland. The decision to open another factory was taken by the Norwegian company in May 2017. The estimated value of the investment is 35 million EUR (about 150 million PLN). In Brest will be produced heating mats for car seats and fuel and air ducts.

The investor has already employed 800 people for the new plant. After starting all production lines, the crew will increase up to 1000. KA is looking for employees with diverse professional qualifications – for production positions, as well as managers and engineers.

Kongsberg Automotive generates revenues of approx. 1.1 billion EUR. The company has over 25 production plants around the world. The product portfolio includes seat comfort systems, driving and movement controls, air and fuel ducts designed for global vehicle manufacturers.
